Ok, so I’ve decided in order to increase my food photography portfolio, I am going to purchase a cake from Muratti Cakes and Gateaux every week and photograph it (or more regularly! but at least one per week). I know – tough job, but someone’s got to do it!
This is the first – the “Apricot and Orange Gateaux” and it has a beautiful (and delicious!) almond toffee “teardrop”, delicately balanced on top.
The whole thing melts in your mouth – the different layers of flavoured mousse – chocolate and almond and orange, and then the apricot “jelly” topping… even the extremely fine florentine (?) was backed with white chocolate. So many flavours and textures – the details makes all the difference!
